About KEFRI
The Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) is a state corporation mandated to conduct research in
forestry and allied natural resources, and to disseminate research findings to support sustainable
forest management in Kenya.
Our headquarters are in Muguga, Kiambu County, with eco-regional research centres spread across the
country to serve Kenya's different ecological zones. See the location details on this page, or
contact us directly for the full list of Centres.
Seeds and Seedlings
Quality tree seeds are available for sale at our KEFRI Centres. We also dispatch orders to customers'
destinations at an extra cost to cover transportation.
Tree seedlings are available for sale at all our KEFRI Centres.
The right species depends on your region's climate, soil and rainfall. Our species-site matching
guides and Centre staff can advise you on suitable species for your locality.
