Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Jazamiti mobile application ("App") operated by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry-Kenya. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the App.
1.1. The Jazamiti App is designed to provide assistance to users in selecting suitable tree species for planting based on their location. It also allows users to document, track, and monitor the growth of documented trees over time.
1.2. Users must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of 13, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.
1.3. The App is intended for personal and non-commercial use. You may not use the App for any unauthorized or illegal purposes.
2.1. WWhile we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the selection of tree species and planting advice provided by the App is based on various factors and data sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided. The App is a work in progress, and information may be improved over time.
2.2. Users are solely responsible for verifying the suitability of selected tree species for their specific planting sites and following any local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to tree planting.
3.1. In order to access certain features of the App, you may be required to create a user account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to keep your account information updated.
3.2. YYou are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4.1. Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.kefri.org/components/jazamiti/privacy.html. By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
5.1. The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and software, are owned by the Ministry of Environment,Climate Change and Forestry and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.
6.1. The Ministry of Environment ,Climate Change and Forestry and its partners shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the use or inability to use the App or its content.
7.1. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the App or these Terms at any time without notice.
8.1. TThese Terms are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
