Announcement and Call for Abstracts for Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) 6th Scientific Conference and Exhibition 2026. Celebrating KEFRI @40 and build-up to 27th IUFRO World Congress in 2029.

KEFRI invites submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation for the conference under reference.

Conference Objectives

The conference theme is: “Advancing Research in Forestry for Landscape Restoration, Climate Change and Better Livelihoods.”


To provide a platform for the following:

Objective 1:

Dissemination of results from forestry research.

Objective 2:

Exchange of scientific knowledge relevant to forestry and allied natural resources.

Objective 3:

Follow-up to KEFRI Commercial and Investment Conference.

Objective 4:

Celebrating 40 years of KEFRI existence.

Objective 5:

Build up to IUFRO Conference 2029 to be hosted by KEFRI.

Selected papers, with the consent of the author will be published in a special issue of the East African Agricultural and Forestry Journal.
