This year recorded a first for KEFRI after the institute took the first position at Nakuru ASK Show held in July.
Staff from the Londiani Centre could not hide their joy when the Co-operative Development and Marketing Minister, Hon. Joseph Nyagah, presented
them with a trophy (above) for the best Government Ministry Medium Stand.
Before acquiring its own stand in 2010, KEFRI was sharing a stand with partner institutions in the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife.
Substantial resources were invested in renovating and upgrading the stand in time for this year's
show that commenced from July 7th to July 10th, 2011.
The theme of the show was "Driving Agribusiness in Attaining Food Sufficiency and Vision 2030".
One of the major highlights at the KEFRI stand was a model depicting restoration of the Mau
Complex, prepared by KEFRI in collaboration with Pro-Mara, a partner organisation.
