Muguga Regional Research Centre

  Muguga Regional Research Centre has the mandate to address
  challenges and exploit opportunities for development of; natural forests
  that include two important water towers namely Mt Kenya and
  Aberdare forests, farm forestry, plantation forestry and drylands
  forestry.

  The Centre Head Office is situated in Kikuyu District, Kiambu County,
  about 25 km Northwest of Nairobi city, 2 km off Nairobi-Naivasha
  highway. The Centre has a Sub-centre in Nyeri. The Centre undertakes
  research in 12 counties including: Kiambu, Nairobi, Murang’a, Nyeri,
  Nyandarua,Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka-Nthi, Meru, Laikipia, Upper parts
  of Kajiado and Eastern parts of Nakuru.

      * Technology transfer and dissemination of information through field days, open days, print and electronic media, agricultural shows and trade
         fairs.

      * Quarantine facilities for biological control agents.

      * Laboratory analysis including; soils, plant and microbial DNA.

      * Consultancy on forestry and allied natural resources including EIA and Audit, Rehabilitation of degraded sites and landscaping.
